“And He himself gives all men Life and Breath and Everything else.” Acts 17:25
These are my mother’s oxygen tanks. Well, were her tanks. She now has an oxygen circulator which is small and easily portable. But this old photo reminds me how precious each breath is! It also brings home how completely dependent my life is on God. He breathed the breath of life into me years ago and now holds that life in His hands.
Though “each man’s life is but a breath,” God cherishes us, guards us, and promises to never let us go!
“This is the air I breathe;
This is the air I breathe.
Your holy presence
Living in me.”

So special to be reminded though. Found you from Wednesday Window and now a follower :0)
Thanks, Pippa! I enjoyed visiting your blog.
Love that, Renee – This is the air I breathe, your Holy presence living in me! Great visual too! So happy to hear about Mom’s smaller oxygen circulator.
Thanks, Mare! It’s certainly easier on all of us
Yes! Me too! It’s so easy to forget.
So true, Juju . . .
It’s so easy to forget and think we actually have some control over our lives, when really, we can’t even keep breathing unless He allows it!
That’s how I feel, too, Emily. I need constant reminders that I can make all the plans I want, but I’m NOT in control!
Hello. I am a New Follower from MWBH. Have a great day!!

Fun blog, Sarah! I’m following, also.
How we take the little things for granted. What we view as the little things anyway.
This is a humbling post. Thank you for sharing it, and helping me put life in perspective. God bless you Renee Ann.
You’re latest post encouraged me also, Lynda! It’s great to help each other keep on keeping on.
Beautiful thoughts! Love the verse and the reminder!
I soaked in the beautiful pic on your blog today!
Amen… praising Him for His breath of life!
Your WFW post was convicting and encouraging, Heidi!
wow…that really does put each breath into perspective…blessings to you for sharing this.
peace,
lori
Loved the verse translation with your pic, Lori!

Hi, Janet! We have some things in common–especially a BS in English and teaching experience. I left a comment and am following your blog
wow… powerful image. I have never stopped to think about oxygen and how it relates to Him. Thank you. I am so grateful for each breath He gives me.
Love the pretty pattern on your blog today, Alida!
=) Right. Thanks for the reminder! (love this song by the way!)

It is a great song, isn’t it?
One of my favorite verses — and I think I will forward this link to my sister because she is still carrying those bottles around. She has a huge machine and miles of cord for her house, and oxygen bottles when she leaves.
Yes, tell your sister! We’ve been so blessed by the portable circulator. It’s made an amazing difference.
So good! Blessings to you and your mom. Praise the Lord for his breath, his life!
Thanks for the sweet comments on my blog, you are appreciated.
Thanks for stopping by, Chelle!
When I was eight months pregnant with my 4th baby, the baby was so high that she pushed into my lungs. I had trouble breathing. During the night I tried to sit in a recliner just to breathe, wishing for the morning to come. I’m so grateful now for the air I breathe so easily.
It’s amazing how easy it is to take the basics for granted, isn’t it? I found your post about anger very thought provoking. Good post . . .
Oh yes, it is amazing how easy it is to take things for granted in our lives until something happens to make us realize how blessed we are. Good post today. Thank you for reminding me to be more thankful.
Blessings, Patty Ann! BTW, love the wild woman on your blog
So true! I was born with a very rare condition that will slowly deprive my lungs of oxygen. I am 45 and healthier than most with my condition. I exercise (most of the time) and I eat right. I always stop and take in a breath of fresh air and am thankful!
Lovely blog.
Following from the blog hop. Hope you can return the follow:

Thanks for visiting, Nancy! Wishing you well with your condition. Your blog is an exciting site.
Thanks ReneeAnn for linking up to the NOBH and your continued support. I used to work in a hospital and would sometimes see patients outside with their O2 tanks smoking cigarettes and it always disgusted me:( Plus it is so dangerous.
I know how you felt, Anna-Marie! It’s hard to watch people self-destruct . . .
Gorgeous. I love it.
Thanks! And, BTW, great food pics on your blog today.
I am going to be more mindful of the breaths I get to take today. Thank you for helping me to appreciate this amazing wonder of life. It is a miracle, really that we have these amazing things called lungs. I was a smoker for 18 years. I am now breathing clean air every single day and am so very thankful that I turned away from cigarettes. Thank you for posting this today.
I agree-it’s so amazing how God made us, and I too often take this gift of life for granted. Praise the Lord that you turned away from smoking! My mom smoked for about 60 years. She ignored many warnings along the way and is now suffering for it . . . BTW, I received the Knees and Paws outfit. Can’t wait to give it to my niece in April! I’ll post a picture of her in her outfit after her birthday
Indeed. How many things we take for granted. Wonderful post.
Happy thankful Thursday!
I enjoyed visiting your blog, Lizzie! Thanks for stopping in here.
YES! My little guy’s bout with breathing issues has brought me to the same place!
I hope your little one is better, Esther!
Wow, what a powerful image and amazing verse. Great WFW. Thank you for reading mine and leaving a kind comment. Have a blessed weekend.
Thanks, Julie! I enjoyed your Chuck E. Cheese post, too.
Sweet scripture and thoughts.
You’re so inspiring. We really can’t take anything for granted. Thanks so much for linking up as always!
Thanks for stopping by, Lisa!
