I’m off on a three-day trip to Montreal with my students and won’t be checking in on my blog. So I wanted to leave some encouraging words for any online friends who happen to stop by. Blessings!

When God pours

Tagg HTS verse 3
In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary. We can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit. ~Romans 5:5, The Message~
And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. ~Romans 5:5, NASB~

This is the theme verse for a fun romantic novel that celebrates God’s big heart. Follow this link to read my review for Here to Stay by Melissa Tagg.

Photo Backstory: These graphics were inspired by a novel I just read & loved—It Had to Be You by Susan May Warren. The quote is from Susan herself & the Scripture is the “theme verse” of the main character. I downloaded free images from RGB Stock Photos & used PicMonkey to tweak the images (blur certain parts, crop them, etc.) & add the words. Feel free to Pin, Tweet, download & share. When I cannot

Trust 2

When I cannot read,
When I cannot think,
When I cannot even pray,
I can trust.

Photo Backstory: Two weeks ago I was privileged to attend a My Book Therapy writing retreat in Miramar Beach, Florida. I can’t say enough good things about my time there—great fellowship, wonderful teaching, and the beach! I snapped this pic on the way home as my plane approached Albany International Airport. On the other side of the plane, the passengers could see the sun setting above the clouds & storm. All we could see were these ribbons of color. Of course, I used PicMonkey to add the words. Photo Backstory: I’m going retro, sharing a graphic that I made and posted back in September. But somehow I needed this reminder again today. The second graphic shows a lovely plaque sent to me by a friend.

Both pics were snapped with my iPhone and then tweaked with PicMonkey. So feel free to Pin, Tweet, download & share.

What remains in the end

Love Bible verses

I Corinthians 13, from The Message
“We don’t yet see things clearly.
We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist.
But it won’t be long before the weather clears
And the sun shines bright!
We’ll see it all then,
See it all as clearly as God sees us,
Knowing him directly just as he knows us!
But for right now, until that completeness,
We have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation . . .

Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly.
And the best of the three is love.”
Or say it this way:
“And now these three remain: Faith, Hope & Love.
But the greatest of these is Love.”

Photo backstory: I probably should have posted this graphic last week. But since it never stops snowing in my state (New York) and love never ends, I figured it wasn’t too late to share :) I created the graphic with an image from my account at rgbstock photos and the magic of PicMonkey. The Blessed

Blessed 1b
Luke 1:45
“And blessed is she who believed
That there would be a fulfillment
Of what was spoken to her by the Lord.
Or from The Message:
“Blessed woman, who believed what God said,
Who believed every word He said would come true.”
