snow God's promises paslm 147(Click to Tweet)

He launches His promises earthward.
How swift & sure they come!
He spreads snow like a fleece.
~Psalm 147:15&16~

Silently, like thoughts that come & go,
The snowflakes fall,
Each one a gem.
~William H. Gibson~

When snow falls,
Nature listens.
~Antoinette van Kleeff~

I just had to snap an iPhone pic of our first snow! I love this verse that makes me imagine God’s promises falling to earth as swiftly & surely as those lovely flakes.

Thanks for stopping by today. Blessings, friends!

***Photo Backstory: I snapped this iPhone pic on my way to work Friday. I love how it captures our first snow here in upstate New York. Of course, PicMonkey is my editing tool of choice. Feel free to Pin, Tweet, download & share.

  1. Your photo is so beautiful! I love it when it snows here, it’s so pretty, just don’t like driving in it. : )

Love the verse and quotes too!

  2. Oh, it’s beautiful! I live in the deep south, so we don’t get to enjoy the beauty of the snow very often! Thanks for sharing. PS – I tewwt @eechauvin.com, I’ll look you up!

  9. We had our first snow in Kentucky this week – and the kids even already missed one day of school. It may be a long winter at this rate. Our snow wasn’t as pretty as yours because it just barely covered some of the fall leaves still blanketing the ground. 🙂 Thanks for linking up at Three Word Wednesday.

  10. Beautiful! Beautiful! I actually find myself rather excited for the season. It’s helpful to know hubs will be around to help with the snow but I’ve also discovered a quietness that comes (if we stop and allow it) with the colder months. That is welcomed right now. Blessings to you. xoxo

  11. Love the imagery here. I’m sure I’ve read that many times, but I don’t live near snow. Houston gets it very rarely. So I never made a connection like this. Now I have! Beautiful photo.

  12. I love this Scripture and the photo is a perfect accompaniment…..First snows are always special….

  13. Thank you for sharing both a beautiful picture and a beautiful truth with us today, Renee Ann! Blessings to you and yours.

  14. Such a beautiful photo. So thankful for His promises!

  15. Beautiful! I always love the first snow fall of the year and I’ve never heard those verses before. Thank you for sharing them! 🙂

  16. So pretty… The picture and the promises of God! Thanks so much for encouraging me yet again, Renee. You are doing great work here!

  17. Lovely image and scripture.

  18. Wow, Renee! What a great picture. I LOVE your graphics. I’d never noticed that verse before, what beautiful imagery: God’s promises falling to the earth like snow!

  19. Gorgeous picture! I love the colors! Looks too cold for my tastes though!
