Do not call to mind the former things,
Or ponder things of the past.
Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert

~Isaiah 43:18&19~

With God’s help, I’m striving to put away last year’s words of defeat and claim God’s words of hope for the future. How about you, friends? What words will you put behind you? What words of promise will you claim for 2013? Be assured, whenever I see your comment, I lift you up in prayer—even if I don’t get to visit your blog or respond right away. Blessings!

  8. How refreshing to see a quote from T.S. Eliot! I studied his work in high school. What an appropriate quote, as well as one of my favorite scriptures! Thanks, Renee!

  9. Amazing scriptures! These verses continue to come before me. I must continue to meditate on them. Obviously, God wants me to forget some things as He is about to replace the former with the new. Thanks for sharing.

  10. Hmm…last year’s words were not good!! This year I have chosen JOY in particular but thanksgiving leads to JOY and grace is given despite my failures (oh! that is one of last year’s words).

    Thanks for linking up over at WholeHearted Home and blessing me with this post.

  11. Same words, same years. Forever and ever. Just because New Year comes, our Lord doesn’t change any of His character or His Words. That’s what counts to me. Thank you.
