Jean Fleming Pursue the Intentional Life incourage

God is not asking me to number my days to increase my pace but rather to examine my route. ~Jean Fleming~

Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~Psalm 90:12~

Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days.
Let me know how fleeting my life is.
You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
The span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.
Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom.
In vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing whose it will finally be.
~Psalm 39: 4-6~

***I recently joined the book club at (in)courage & am so enjoying this spring’s selection: Pursue the Intentional Life by Jean Fleming! I plan to review this book. But for now, here’s the book blurb from Amazon:

“Do you ever wonder what your future holds? As ministry leader Jean Fleming began pondering how she could serve God with more purpose, she created Pursue the Intentional Life, a book that will help you discover how God’s promises and instructions contain just what you need for the unknown days ahead. Whether you are facing the end of something in your life or embarking on a new beginning, this book will help you live meaningfully and intentionally in the present while preparing well for the future.”
