Now that we know what we have,
Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God,
Let’s not let it slip through our fingers.
We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality.
He’s been through weakness and testing,
Experienced it all—all but the sin.

I used online software to give the photo an overexposed look. The quote is from an excellent new book by Mary DeMuth called Everything: What You Give and What You Gain to Become Like Jesus.

Great picture and quote! I read your review of Everything and it sounds like a book I would enjoy. Those hard, pressing in times, are def when I feel the closest to God, I don’t enjoy whatever may be happening, but my deep need for him deepens. And it’s then I see how weak and small I am.
