I love the bottom pic of my sweet mom during her last days, looking through her jewelry and remembering. The people and events that eluded her struggling mind here brighten her Heavenly days as she waits for the family reunion to be complete.

God was faithful to her. He is faithful to me.

No matter what has gone before or what may come, He clothes me with joy and gifts me with laughter.

May He do the same for you. Thanks for  by stopping by today! Blessings, friends!

  10. The fact we can choose what we put on, what we clothe ourselves with, is such a testimony to God giving us free will and such a responsibility for those of us who claim Christ. I’ve been thinking about that lately. And JOY is my focus this year, so your post encouraged me. Thanks for linking up at #ThreeWordWednesday.

  11. Renee, your photo of your mother reminds me of moments with mine as she would quietly, silently ponder the life that she had lived, the special moments with someone special, or many, many other things. 98 years contains a bunch of memories. Psalm 76:26 reminds me of thoughts I have had. I need to look that verse up in various versions. : )

  12. May this always be said of all of us for our good and for His glory!

May He continue to fill your cup to overflowing, Renee Ann.

  13. I watched my Mom in a nursing home going through her stuffed animals she has won at bingo telling me who each one goes to. through the years I have carted countless items she won wondering what in the world am I going to do with them. Only to find, it matters not what I do with them, only matters that I take them from her, they are her lifeline to a time she had more then stuffed animals to give to others, her money, her time, her cooking skills, her gardening fruits. Lovely post.

    • Sorry, meant to add this. Your post was exactly what my heart needed to read today. We left my home town two days ago where my mother lives. Always, and I mean always I am depressed for several days due to my mothers condition requiring her round the clock nursing skills. For the life of me I wonder along with her why God keeps her here. Honestly, she so wants to go home, is depressed when she watches news and see young people have died. In her dementia she struggles and I struggle for her. I want her back the way she was but that will never happen till she see Jesus face to face. Staying thankful that I did get to have a few good days with her this month.

  14. I love BOTH of these! I have heard the top Scripture many times and love the pic you paired it with… The bottom one is less familiar to me but I absolutely adore it.

Very cool, friend. Thanks a million for sharing your talent and heart each week!

  15. That’s the kind of woman I’m aiming to be. Hope you don’t mind if I post that photo.on my social media. 🙂
